As part of Birgejupmi’s Work Package 3, project member Wasiq Silan (National Dong Hwa University, Taiwan) organised a student engagement presentation at the National Dong Hwa University to share the experiences from the participation of the UN Convention on Biological Diversity’s First Meeting of the Subsidiary Body on Article 8(j) and other provisions related to Indigenous Peoples and Local Communities (CBD SB8J-1) held in Panama city. She worked together with the Indigenous-led community-based Millet Ark Initiative and curated a variety of topics together with Millet Ark team to familiarise students with Indigenous artistic perspective in viewing and representing, international participation, geopolitical and cultural contestation as well as unity in diversity.
