Birgejupmi researcher, Associate Professor at Copenhagen University, Naja Dyrendom Graugaard has received an Emma Goldman Fellowship from the Institute for Human Sciences (IWM) in Vienna.
She is therefore spending the month of April at IWM, from where she will continue her research related to Inuit land relations and wellbeing in Kalaallit Nunaat. Graugaard is spending this time reflecting, writing, and reporting on the project’s previous workshops and processes of knowledge creation in Kalaallit Nunaat.
Graugaard is also taking the opportunity to share the work of Birgejupmi in IWM’s Fellows Colloquium program. On 13 April she gave a talk on “Kalaallit Land Relations: Inuit Narrative Sovereignty and Wellbeing” and had a vibrant and insightful exchange with other fellows at IWM.
This is an exciting opportunity to exchange and deepen the findings and teachings of the Birgejupmi research process in the strong, inspiring, international research community at IWM.
We wish Naja a rewarding and inspiring stay at IWM and look forward to the continued growth and sharing of our Birgejupmi research.
